New safety lights for Airpark Estates

Full Description:

At September's Community Services meeting, the Board voted that they would not become an obstruction. The issue on the table was the installation of aviation obstruction lights, required at three locations in the Airpark. Right now, trees and buildings are in transitional areas on both sides of the Airport runway. The CA. Code of Regulations requires objects tht penetrate those areas to be obstruction lighted unless the FAA determines that the lighting is not needed for safety. The FAA has advised the airport to get the problem fixed. 6 lights are needed, of which only 3 fall under the C.P. CSD's jurisdiction.
